NextAero is currently developing Project19, an additively manufactured 10 kN sea-level thrust prototype aerospike rocket engine. Operating on a pressure-fed cycle with liquid oxygen and high-purity ethanol, the Project19 engine will have one of the highest specific thrust ratings in its class. 

Project19 includes a throttling mechanism to enable a unique solid-state thrust vectoring capability. By leveraging the additive manufacturing design and build methodology implemented for ProjectX, the solid-state thrust vector control reduces part count even further by eliminating heavy and complex gimbal systems traditionally used to steer rocket engines.
